She drank it down at once. It was very tart, like biting into a lemon. A thousand years ago, she had known a girl who loved lemon cakes. ‘No, that was not me, that was only Arya.’

He saw Sansa crying herself to sleep at night, and he saw Arya watching in silence and holding her secrets hard in her heart.

If you would take a man’s life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you can not do that, then perhaps the men does not deserve to die.

They measure the room, they know the score
They’re mopping up the butcher’s floor
Of your broken little hearts

Arya and Sansa Stark

“You may be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts. You need her, as she needs you…”
—-

for me, I saw Arya and Sansa as polar opposites. Ice & fire suits them well, with ice symbolising Sansa and fire for Arya.

Sansa is smart and calm, biding her time and using her knowledge of words to her advantage. Arya is brash and bold, lashing out and plunging herself into all sorts of situations.

But both takes things in their stride, and that’s what makes them strong in their own unique ways.
